Frequently asked Questions

Store Information:

Q: What are your store hours?

A:  Mon. - Sat. 10:00 am - 5 pm., Sunday (Closed)

Q: What is the best way to contact you?

A:  Because we are always working in the Shop, the best way would be               through email ccustomssc@gmail.com. This way there is a written record,           and avoids any confusion. 

Q: Do you have a local shop for me to drop off projects or pickup my items?

A:  Yes we do, see contact tab for our location. Because we are always                  working, please contact us to arrange a time for drop off or pickup.

Q: Are my firearms or other items safe at your location?

A:  Yes! Firearms or other items are never left in the shop. At the end of the              business day, all items are moved to a secure and locked storage area.

Q: Do you have a Valid FFL (Federal Firearms License)?

A:  Yes we do (Type 07), the same as other firearm stores in the area. We are          subject to the same ATF regulations. 

Q: Do you have a retail license?

A:  Yes we do, required item for resale of merchandise and required to charge         sales tax (6%)

Q:  Do you offer cash or check discounts?

A:   Yes we do, however we only accept personal checks. 

Transfers:

Q:  What do you charge for Firearm Transfers?

A:   We charge $20.00 in form of cash for 1-3 firearms, or per application. In        order to keep our cost low, we avoid using credit cards and the fees                associated with them for this transaction.

Q:  When can I come pick up my Transferred firearm?

A:   We call you upon arrival of the firearm and arrange a suitable pickup time.         Being a home- based FFL we have the flexibility of staying open past                 business hours, as long as it's arranged prior to arriving.  

Q:  Do I have to fill out a 4473 Federal Firearms Application for a Transfer?

A:   Yes this required in accordance with ATF Regulations. 

Q:  How long do I have to pick up my Transferred Firearm?

A:   We will hold them up to 30 days, after so we will charge $5.00 a day            storage fee. If priorly arranged, we will waive this fee.

Q:  What happens if I am denied for a firearm?

A:   There is a process of appealing a denied status through the FBI. If failed, it        will be at the purchasers expense to have the firearm returned to original            origin where bought. 

Q:  What if my Firearm arrives damaged during a Transfer?

A:   Upon arrival we will inspect each firearm, and upon calling you we will            note them in order for you to contact the place from where it was                      purchased. We can assist you, but unfortunately we are here to ensure you        are legally eligible for the Firearm.  

Sales:

Q:  What form of Payment do you accept?

A:   Chris' Customs LLC accepts all major Credit Cards (except AMEX), Personal Checks, and Cash. 

Q:  What if I change my mind after a purchase of a firearm?

A:   All Firearm sales are final. At this point once in your ownership, the firearm        becomes used. 

Q:  How does purchasing a firearm off your website work, will you send it              directly to me?

A:   No! At check out, you will be required to list a Valid FFL information where        you wish to have it shipped. Shipping costs do apply. 

Q:  What if I order something off your website and want to cancel my order?

A:   Cancellations can be made by contacting Chris' Customs Customer support, but only before shipping. After shipment All Firearm cancellations are subject to a 30% restock fee, forfeit shipping fees if any, and a 2.5% fee if a credit card was used.  

Q:  Do you need a deposit for special orders?

A:   We require at least 50% deposit for special orders. The remaining balance will be due at the time of pick up. 

Q:  Do you offer a Warranty on our Cerakote application?

A:   We warranty defects only. Normal wear and tear is not covered. 

Q:  If I bring an item in to be custom engraved, will you charge me sales tax?

A:   This service is considered labor and not subject to sales tax. If you                    purchase an item through our shop with the intent to be engraved, then the        item is subject to sales tax; not the service itself. 

Rules and Regulations:

Q:  What age must I be to purchase a firearm?

A:   In the state of South Carolina, you must be a minimum age of 18 in order          to legally purchase a long gun such as a rifle or shotgun. Pistols or                    "firearms" you must be a minimum age of 21.

Q:  Must I be able to pass a background check during purchase of a firearm?

A:   In the state of South Carolina, if you are not a concealed carrier issued by        SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) you must undergo and              pass a background check during the time of purchase. 

Q:  What is required at the time of purchase of a firearm?

A:   A state issued valid I.D. and/or CWP (concealed carrying weapons                permit), and must be able to properly fill out a 4473 Federal Firearm                Application. 

Q:  Who's responsibility is it to ensure a certain item is legal in their state?

A:   It is the buyers sole responsibility to ensure it is legal in their respective state.

Q:  Are there any shipping restrictions? 

A:   Chris' Customs LLC will not ship to the following areas: 

  1. California without a FFL

  2. Illinois without a FOID card

  3. New York City

  4. New Jersey without FID card

  5. Washington D.C. -District of Columbia

  6. Puerto Rico

  7. Alaska (ammunition)

  8. Hawaii (ammunition)

  9. Connecticut without FID card
